About
"Vul' Amathuba" means "open opportunities". This platform connects job seekers in Gauteng with the employers who need them.
Vul' Amathuba started as a festival at Constitution Hill on 29 September 2026, where job seekers, entrepreneurs and small businesses met employers, funders, skills providers and government services. The platform keeps that going all year: job seekers build profiles employers can search, and employers post jobs and shortlist candidates. It is free for both.
Vul' Amathuba is the programme of Vuyiswa Ramokgopa, Gauteng MEC for Economic Development, run with the Gauteng Department of Economic Development and the Gauteng Enterprise Propeller. It started with the festival and continues on this platform, so that job seekers and employers in Gauteng can find each other all year.
The Gauteng Department of Economic Development (GDED) develops and runs the platform.
The Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP), GDED's agency for small business development, is co-organiser of the programme.
